An official of the (FRSC) Federal Road Safety Commission , has disclosedd that about 1,048 people were killed in 770 road crashes involving 4,365 tankers and trailers from January to November 2016. Boboye Oyeyemi, who is the FRSC official, made this known on Wednesday, December 7, in Abuja at an interactive session with stakeholders in the road transport sector. Oyeyemi said 4,365 people were also injured during the period of review.
According to him, crashes involving tankers and trailers had been on the decrease since 2014 as 1,862 people were killed in that year while 1,285 deaths were recorded in 2015.
