This age old question has puzzled men forever: what do women really want in bed?

Now we are finally closer as we interviewed more than 1,000 women revealing their favourite positions in the sack.

The survey, by Men’s Health magazine, asked women to choose three positions they wanted most in bed and their answers might surprise you.

The move which came out on top was a position called The Face Off which involves women straddling their partner sat down.

Women said they liked to be able to control the depth and pace of s*x and this was why they enjoyed this particular move.

The second position which women loved was the G-Whizz, that has to do with a woman lying on her back with her knees to her chest while her partner was on top of her.

A whopping 32% of the respondents said this was on of their favourite positions because it stimulates their G-spot during s*x.

But the third  was the Flatiron position, with 31% of the women surveyed saying it was in their top three.

This involves women lying on their stomachs with a cushion underneath their middle and their partner behind them.

Because – put simply – this made their partner feel larger.

And finally, the fourth most popular position with 30% of the women saying it was in their top three was the Stand And Deliver.

For this one the woman lies on the edge of the bed with her legs raised, while her partner stands on the floor.

Women said intensity of the session with their fella is increased. When selecting s*x positions it’s also important to factor in your partner’s penis size.

Earlier this year, scientists revealed that the average length of an erect penisis 5.2 inches (13.12 cm), the average length of a flaccid p*nis is 3.6 inches (9.16 cm) and 5.2 inches (13.24 cm) when flaccid but stretched.

But men come and all shapes and sizes and there is nothing wrong with that. In fact, women don’t really care how big you are, a recent poll revealed.

However there are different sex positions that are best for every p*nis size.

For example if you’re larger than the average guy a position like Girl On Top is good because she can control the depth.

If you’re a smaller lad, rear entry positions like Doggy Style which has been voted Britain’s favourite sex position, are best for you.
